We left for the cabin Monday morning. Ryan and his dad drive together early and Becky and I left a little later with the boys. They both did really good on the drive especially since neither of them slept much. We stopped a couple times to let them run/crawl around before we
loaded back up and kept going.
When we got there we didn't waste anytime jumping right into playing. Tracker loved the giant window, all the trees, the dirt, the squirrels and birds...
Tracker had not been feeling well and it was only getting worse. He had a yucky cold which was causing him to cough, have a constant runny nose and gag on all the boogers running down his throat. He slept best upright. I was anxious to try out Ryans new hammock we got him for his birthday so Tracker and I snuggled right in and took a long snooze. It was HEAVENLY. It was so peaceful. I turned some music on and we just laid there for hours. The weather was perfect, there was no noise and we were snuggled together. I wished we could have stayed there the entire week.
The first day we were there Ryans Dad and Ryan were both able to show Tracker some deer.
They come right up to the cabin and hang out. No matter how many times we see them its always so cool. Tracker was amazed. It was so fun to see his reaction. Every time he would make his mouth into the the O shape and say "Wow.Wow. Wow" over and over. It was seriously the cutest thing.
Easton and Tracker spent a lot of time playing with his toys inside but spent even more time outside crawling in the dirt, chewing rocks and enjoying the awesome mini cabin the boys have been building all summer.
We bought this swing for Tracker for Christmas so it was fun to finally use it.
Any swing = Trackers second home.
One of my favorite things to do at the cabin is take 4wheeler rides with Ryan. I love that alone time and we always stop and have a few talks along our ride. Ryans Mum said she would watch Tracker while we went out. I was so excited to have a few minutes alone with Ryan.
He took me to the tree he carved Makenzies initials in a few years ago so he could add Trackers.
After our ride we ended up getting stuck in a huge hail storm. We were close enough to the cabin we just kept going but not without getting pelted in the face and getting completely soaked.
We took Tracker on a couple 4wheeler rides. He loved it. He just sat back and was completely relaxed.
Ryan's parents bought a new side by side while we were down there so we ran down to Cedar City to grab the boys some helmets so we could all go on a long ride together.
We strapped their car seats on and we were ready to go.
Tracker didn't make a peep and was so happy to be there. He ended up falling asleep after a few hours and continued to sleep the remainder of our ride. It was so funny to see.
I guess this boy really is his fathers son.
It rained everyday we were there. We wanted to spend more time in the dirty and in the hammock but didn't get the chance. We still had a great time and loved every minute.
We were only suppose to be there for 2 days. After those 2 days Ryan was not ready to go home. He has been pretty homesick the last few weeks so we decided it was best to stay an extra day with his parents so he could spend some more time with them as well as Tracker. They were going to stay there the rest of the week so when we came back to Salt Lake they wouldn't be coming with us.
Thank goodness Ryan will be coming back to Utah a couple times in the next month to hunt with his Dad so he will be able to spend a good amount of time with them.
We left Thursday to head back to Salt Lake and soak up the last day with my family.
